The Duggan Family

What a magazine-worthy family! I had a great time capturing the Duggan Family in this season of life. Alyssa reached out to me in September about scheduling an early Fall session for her family at golden hour. She wanted to get a mix of posed and candid photos of her three littles, aged 15 months – 4 years. Her only real request was to have trees with lots of greenery. After searching for the perfect location, we decided on Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs, NC.

Why I love Sugg Farm

Sugg Farm is one of my favorite locations due to the variety. Big open fields, tall trees, and rustic fences make the perfect backdrop for making memories! Not to mention, the soft light filtering through the trees make this spot magical! The property is great for photos year-round, but my favorite time would have to be spring/summer and fall because of the greenery and foliage!

A Fun Family Session

The perfect backdrop was complimented by the Duggan family’s adorable outfits! I love the soft coordinating colors that the family choose for their session. Shades of blue, cream, and rose blended beautifully with the farm’s natural tones and golden light making them really pop in the images.

As you can see from the photos, this sweet family brought so much joy and warmth to their session. We spent the afternoon giggling, playing, and even capturing a few photos of just mom and dad!! It is so important to document your family; however, it is just as important to document you as parents and as a couple! I will always try to sneak in a few photos of just the two of you.

I loved spending the evening with the Duggan Family. Sessions like this really remind me of why I love what I do.
