Fall Family Session at Lake Johnson

I met the Dooley Family through a mutual friend and I have had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family for the past two years. When Kristie contacted me for an updated family session, I was so excited to see them again and see how much the kids have grown! Their youngest was only a few weeks old during our first photoshoot! This year, Kristie really wanted a fall family session at Lake Johnson.

Lake Johnson holds a special place in the Dooley Family’s hearts. Unfortunately, our session had to be postponed due to inclement weather, but we were able to reschedule for the following week. I’m so glad we waited because we were able to get some gorgeous lighting. However, even though the sun was shining, it was frigid! The Dooley’s two children were such troopers though and we were able to capture so many cute shots! I mean, look at those little faces.

I love photographing families with little ones because they bring so much energy and fun to the session. We spent a majority of our time together throwing leaves in the air, making silly noises, running around, throwing sticks into the lake, and having so much fun. Sometimes I have such a good time that it’s hard to remember that this is my job.

Truly, one of the best parts of my job is being able to document the seasons of my client’s lives. This is especially true for returning clients. It is such a blessing to be able to capture their stories and milestones year after year. I am so thankful for every client that returns and continues to let me be a part of capturing their stories.
