I met Caroline and John back in September at the European Bridal Expo hosted by Villa Mirabela in Fayetteville. They just engaged and were hoping to connect with potential wedding vendors. They stopped by my booth to chat. While we were speaking, they also decided to sign up for my free session raffle and they ended up winning a fall engagement session!
We immediately started planning and settled on the gorgeous WRAL Azalea Gardens for their session location. I love shooting at the Azalea Gardens because it is beautiful year-round. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule our first session date in October due to inclement weather and we were not able to schedule another session until a month later. However, I think it was for the best because the day of our session was beautiful!
The leaves were at their peek colors and I could not have asked for a better evening. We had a glowy sunset with warm light peeking through the trees. Caroline and John really brought the magic and we were able to capture so many romantic shots. These two were so cute and playful together. They made my job a piece of cake!
I have so many favorites from this fall engagement session, but one that stands out to me was requested by the couple. When they first got engaged, they took a photo from underneath of them holding hands showcasing Caroline’s engagement ring. They asked me if I could do it for them as well. My clients know that I will do anything for the shot including laying in a pile of wet leaves. I love the way it turned out and that we included a pose that was special to them. Check out the last few photos to see the ring shot!
